Raider encounters already feel like 50% random chance. With these trees blocking shots randomly all around the map I completely lose any understanding of what's happening and how I can influence it.

I agree, they're frustrating. But they look really good and there are some tactical implications.

I feel as if trees completely blocking units from taking shots is a bit clumsy. I've had pyros burn down my entire base on quicksilver despite having lotus there standing by. IMO the units should just shoot as if they have a clear line of sight, and the trees are destroyed in the process.

I'm not removing them. I'd rather trees not be treated by ZK as some sacred untouchable objects. Other Spring games do not have this problem.

Obsidian 0.1 is always an option if it really bothers.
