The commander expenditure was really weird because it had enough buildpower to spend all of its income even without morph.

This game also exhibited very inefficient mobbing. The mobs were just sized enough to take maximum damage from AoE: too large for piecemeal raids, too small for a proper assault.

The extreme cowardice of individual retreat when barely scratched also continues to massively cripple Circuit mobs. Often, objectives could be achieved with some minor sacrifices, but retreating half of the army at the merest hint of resistance instead accepted similar sacrifices for no gains.
