What changed in ZK that makes every single game like this? Its strange, almost every game in ZK that ive played since ive been back has been an endless clusterfuck stalemate of just throwing units at each other with seemingly no order to it.

Seems like I always end up with multiple labs, dantes and air etc every time, and usually the dantes dont make any difference whatsoever even though they used to be pretty decisive.

Only word I can think to describe current ZK is: messy.

Also I used to know exactly what to do to close a game out, now I havent got the slightest clue. What is the win condition? Seems like its just we throw the same units at each other endlessly until one of us happens to get overrun?

Maybe you had an even game or forgot how to play. USrankFealthas seemed to have more structure and a plan. You needed some heavier defenses at important locations. It is also not great that the map is so chokey and terrible for vehicles..

I dont think its a game or map specific thing like I said every one of my games has been like this where it just reaches a stalemate mess climax and stays like that till one person just attritions out.

Usually me cuz I have no idea what I'm supposed to do when game reaches that point other than just keep piling shit into the fray. Havent got a clue what unit to be making, just seems like every game is nothing but rocko warrior.

TBH this map is close to being in my trash map group. Games always end up like this on this map.

And I did have more of a "plan" than you. I used air to counter your arty and gs and picked off targets here and there. I also went JJ to get firewalkers and AA. Then scorpions to counter dante.
You just kinda massed cloaky all day, then a few GS, then arty which you never bothered to protect from bombing.
I also had better eco for the most part.

Funny how CHrankAdminDeinFreund and Goober find exaclty the opposite flaws in the exact same game. One say games are decided too early, the other say they linger on too much!!!

IMO this map simply pushes you into lategame faster. The chokes mean you can make good use of porc and heavies. Tanks should have a much easier time than vehicles. Endlessly spamming light units will only end in pointless suicide due to the chokepoints.

I think Goober had a great start but completely failed to progress into end-game. He didn't fortify his advances, especially the eastern front could've been in a much stronger position with some defenses on the hill. He didn't build proper economy (2 fusions but disconnected grid and no geo). He didn't increase his unit weight progressively (Fealthas moved into firewalkers & licho way before Goober's dante).
