This was a nice game. I think jump vs tank is well balanced.

Not a single placeholder built.

How are pillagers allowed again? Its a long range skirmisher, basically a super rouge.

have tanks something elso to counter things like buoys or moderators?
something that is not tremor?

If emissary was as useless as you want it to be USrankFealthas I wouldnt have stood a chance in this game

You don't balance by countering one bullshit unit with another. Perhaps moderators are the problem no? Instead of justifying their bullshit existence with more bullshit killagers, perhaps it would be good to recognize that there is a game design flaw here.

I don't want it to be useless, I want to it to be artillery, not another bullshit skirmisher/arty/riot-thing.

I didn't see a well balanced match, though they might be.

I saw an early advantage and a number of clever plays (like attacking a barely defended base twice), turn into nothing as they could not counter just the raw power of the enemy factory.

I saw clever plans amount to nothing under the terrifying weight of an opponents forces, and just enough victories for them that someone might think that the gimmicky combos were quite powerful, when really they were just holding it together barely.

Randy clearly really tried this game, and its sad but I am not sure if I have any advice for how he could have won, besides building another fac.

Oh, also a Placeholder was built (just 1 though), and Kodachi can counter moderators, as well as Cyclops.

i think Randy could have
- built less moderators and more jacks, maybe a placeholder or two with each attacking party
- built terraformed caretakers to repair the jacks and reclaim near the disputed areas
- not built any jugglenauts, firewalkers
- built static AA like razor, chainsaw and thresher instead of toads
- fac switched to air for anti air, radar plane (acts as jammer) bombers which could hit key stardusts and pillagers, or thunderbird could do its thing

Rymarq I completely disagree. I felt quite powerless to deal with what randy was doing in this game, the combination with jugglenaut/placeholder + jacks/moderator etc will absolutely wreck any standard tanks that get in range.

Ogres deal with jacks well but are at big risk to the above combo.

However, despite randys superior early expansion and scary lab combo - what kept me in this game was a number of his mistakes. Firstly he fed me soo much metal, at one point he jumped 4 jacks into my base and straight up handed me metal. At another he waddled an insufficient army to my gates and it died. 1 maybe 2 jugglenauts died that really shouldnt have, such a crucial unit and big mistake to lose it unnecessarily. Finally and most importantly, he did nothing about my air.

It was air, not tanks that won me this. Bombed his beefy lvl 4 com. Bombed 4 nanos at a time when he was reclaiming all the wrecks in mid and he excessed a ton. Fire bombed all his winds. Bombed every firewalker. He made 2 toads total so I was able to get endless raven value. If he went air himself my emissaries would have been toast. Not really sure what he was thinking tbh.

I wouldnt say jumping jacks into my base was particularly clever, its pretty standard and nothing short of multiple stardusts can stop it tbh. Just another big advantage of JJ on this map.

I think if randy was more patient, suiciding less units and shut down my air properly, I dont think id have stood a chance cuz that "gimmicky combo" was scary as hell when it was fully functional (doesnt work if you dont have enough units).

i think randy might have had a higher win-chance if he would have build some aa to prevent you from bombing his BP and Storage 3 times in a row!
