Casted on YouTube

By request, and hopefully we all learned something about how not to punch Ogres with Glaives.

Great cast. Thanks for doing these. I actually had a Minotaur in his base that took out the air fac at the same time I was attacking his commander. I was trying to use the amphs as bait to get him to roll that group of tanks south to deal with them, leaving the north more open for me to roll through with tanks of my own. I made a ton of mistakes and should've won earlier, but I'm still learning. Thanks again for the commentary. I think I need to work on my unit counters a lot and tighten up my macro a bit more.

USrankPaulBellow's biggest mistake was opening tank* (though the lack of radar is a close second).

USrankUltraGodzilla failed badly at energy construction and expansion, which would have been game ending immediately if he'd been facing something else.
As cloak vs tank you can expand recklessly, use small handfuls of glaives to hit naked expand and make a glaive ball to wreck all the lotused expansions.

Due to the kodachi role change (general raider -> best-in-class anti-eco raider) and blitz nerf, microd glaives are uncounterable by tank til high army sizes. A single ogre loses to equal metal of glaives, but an ogre ball** will murder a similar cost glaive ball (though by that point snipers will be wrecking tank).
A microd couple of ronin protected by a quartet of glaives is even worse, requiring double its cost in metal to counter.

Where were the snipers? They are called "anti-heavy" for a reason and will make several times their cost vs tank until the tank player builds a bot or spider fac.

USrankUltraGodzilla feeding individual glaives and reavers one at a time to the Ogres hurt me. :(
As did the latter game cloakbot balls (cloak is very strong in small numbers, but balls VERY badly while tank balls extremely well).

* I'd bet on Sigero with cloak start vs Godde with tank start given the current state of things. Though tank is still fine for a fac switch.

Ogre is more a generalist unit than a proper riot and balls very well (it doesn't have any particular weaknesses to a unit type, it just has poor dps*hp/cost^2)

To his credit, USrankUltraGodzilla had only been playing the game a few days at this point, so even more shame on me. ;)

Radars are super important, but it's easy to forget with so much going on. I need more discipline.
