/screenshot or f12 is CHrankAdminDeinFreund

Press tab and make a script to screenshot every k seconds. Great quality and no lag like with OBS or any other recorder, you also save a lot of disk space.

If you would make 30 or 60 screenshots per second I bet that it would put a larger strain on your computer than using OBS with the right settings.

Just make sure your springsettings are set to make png files, or you'll suffer from awful jpg quality. CHrankAdminDeinFreund how comes you don't have "lag" when making screenshots? My Spring usually becomes unresponsive for a second whenever I make a screenshot.

PLrankOrfelius nobody needs 30+ fps for a video that will be sped up to 5x - 15x anyway.

k should be less than 1. Viewers will have trouble following the game at 30x speed and you wouldn't want less than 30fps in the final product.

If you don't want 100x speed use OBS, but who would want to watch that?

At 100x speed a short 10 minute game would last 6 seconds. A long 60 minute game would last 36 seconds.

I don't know about you, but I'd watch dotwars to either get a quick summary of exciting games or just to gape at my monitor and see seemingly busy things bustle/scurry over the screen. The first one doesn't allow too high speed because that would compress information too much. The latter needs to be slow enough for me to actually follow unit movement.

Go k=1 then, 30x speed is still pretty slow from dot perspective.

I usually record things in 0.5x speed btw, because you can then speed up to get more fps and because late game usually runs at 0.6-0.7x speed anyway, so limiting it to 0.5x will assure the game doesn't get slower towards the end. This would also allow 15x speed.

K should be 0.3(3)

At reasonable 10x (30min battle will last 3min) you get 3 screenshots per realtime seconds, which result im 30fps in the final video.

I don't know if NOTA-TV will work OOTB with ZK, but it's worth a try (I don't see a reason for it to be mod/game specific): http://springfiles.com/spring/lua-scripts/nota-tv

See https://springrts.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=55&t=28808#p531696 how it looks like.
