This is not a random bug, it was very predictable because you did not give your Ravens enough time to fully dive.

It's reliable if you don't wait with the attack order until they are almost above the target.

It is unreliable, in the sense that damage is not necessary dealt for every attack command that you issue. But it is not unreliable in the sense that whether you attack command deals damage does not depend on much in the way of randomness or hidden variables. Do you have a better approach?

people often go with the group of ravens and have them spot their own targets, if they don't have enough room to hit the target, they should maneuver into position, not miss.

what i'd do would be to remove the dive and let their bombs track the target, even if they'd still need to pass above the target to shoot.

If they shoot, they hit, unless something got in the way.

I have a very radical idea. When ravens are given an attack command, the ravens should move in such a way to hit the target. Also they shouldn't ever drop their bombs if they are going to miss.

The Raven weapon + dive mechanic is awful, it has been awful since it was introduced - very janky.

If the dive mechanic has to stay, the Raven should probably not be able to miss whilst diving. Players assign Ravens to a task with the total alpha damage of the run in mind. If there is a random chance of missing, frustration ensues.
