The difference between the starts was huge. Froind had perfect start while Goddes was rocky as hell but that is largely to do with the fact that its rover vs tank. Rover always had far superior early game but now that kodachi is useless it is too one sided.

Tank seems more like a cheese fac these days. If you don't manage to wreck your opponents economy with that first kodachi you've probably lost. :/
Half its units have been nerfed and the other half weren't too hot to begin with. Not even SErankGodde can make Blitz good.
If it had a good anti-unit raider it might still be viable, but currently its vulnerability to raiders is just too great (recently my poor ogre got destroyed by less than it's metal worth in glaives).

I'm gonna have to learn how to use Rover now.

It would be great if tank's anti-raider unit was not its raider. Then it could beat raiders without having to be the best raider.

Maybe the Ogre could lose some weight; it would slightly make it less unique as the heaviest riot, but it would be still really different from Mace.

Ogre is kinda cool though. It's just that it mostly shines at the 1.5-5K army size range where it's a decent generalist ball...

If Blitz could be turned into an anti-raider raider that might solve tanks main issue.

No, turning blitz into an anti raider raider would just mean that plopping anything but tank is suicide again. Blitz, and Panther before it, has always had this problem: either it beats all other raiders and so plopping non-tank on a map that allows tanks becomes suicide; or they are crap raiders and you have to rely on other units.

Well with the current Blitz design, yes.
Can't have them stunning or they're too knife edge.

not just the current.

Automatically winning the raider war if powerful enough to serve as an anti-raider rather than just a raider is a fundamental feature of any anti-raider-raider, not just ones with alpha or emp.

This is because if it defeats other raiders by default, the raider phase of the game becomes completely asymmetric, with one side able to raid (with their anti-raider-raiders) and the other unable to raid (with their inferior mere raiders).

Duck, Blitz, Kodachi, Dagger have been in this state before. Pyro and puppy kind of so as well, but they never were buffed to be that strong.

Archer still is (until next stable, anyway).

Ah, I see where I miscommunicated.
By "anti-raider raider" I meant something that can actually fight enemy raiders on an even basis rather than only being able to attack eco like the Kodachi.
So Glaive would be an "anti-raider raider" by that definition as it is effective against its fellow raiders.

Hmm...
Now that I think about it, there's also a unit that can defeat enemy raiders but can't do eco raiding well itself: Puppy :D
