This is what happens when somebody focuses on one player...they die to other players. I died two times to nukes but still, I came back. Will comment on the recording soon.

Lessons to be learned from this game:

- When somebody tells you to stop attacking them, ignore them.

- When somebody tells you that somebody has a superweapon, scout for yourself. People say things to make their own chances of winning go up, not yours.
[Spoiler]

(You should just scout for yourself all the time anyway.)

- Focusing on one player is perfectly fine as long as you (a) either don't overly antagonise them or actually kill them beyond recovery, (b) get something out of it and don't lose too much, (c) are in a position where you don't get backstabbed while you kill them, and (d) you are focusing *the right person*, not letting somebody else get further ahead of both of you.

People who tell you otherwise just want you to not kill them so they can survive and win lategame.

- When your neighbour has connection problems and you tacnuke all their infrastructure the game gets a lot easier to win.

I didn't know he had connection problems AUrankAdminAquanim...also most of the times I tell the truth. So in this game, I told you guys I died...I only had a commander and three constructors. This happened twice from the nukes AUrank4hundred gave me. It's weird that nobody reacted to counter him since he was the strongest after me...

I also told you that AUrank4hundred was rushing starlight which was true.

The Starlight was at 2% and due to be completed in over 80 minutes ... so not technically false but still intended to convince other people to attack 4hundred on account of something that was a long way from being an active threat to them.

AUrankAdminAquanim I just saw the recording and commented on it (will put it on youtube). There is clear evidence if you watch the replay that USrankDrascalicus died from my tactical nukes and then he had the connection problems. When I killed the things he had in his base then I saw his message. After that I never attacked him.

Also why so much hate speech/misinformation against me AUrankAdminAquanim that you told in spectator channel? It's was a fair win for me and I deserved to win at least form the micro point of view. I worked hard to kill AUrank4hundred, to kill Disco and then to defend against other players that were left. I also reconstructed my base from scratch two times. What seems to be your problem?

If you have some kind of personal issues with me AUrankAdminAquanim, please mind your business, it's just a game anyway.

Hang on. This is an FFA. I thought misinformation and half truths were all part of the game. That's usually what makes it interesting. If you can manipulate other people into wrong choices, fair play to you.

This simply isn't true. At 42:30 or so when the DRP was tacnuked, Drascalicus had 999s+ ping indicating that he was catching up. He hadn't even got to the point yet where he could tell you and it's not obvious to notice the problem with current playerlists so I perhaps should not have gotten so annoyed about the action itself. Your attitude about it afterwards (no apology and gloating about the outcome of the game in general) still ticks me off though.

This also isn't true. Drascalicus nuked him twice, just like you got nuked. Mc_Giggle also pressured 4hundred a fair bit.

I found your gloating about winning a game given the advantage of a disconnected neighbour, and what I saw as attempts to spin the moral of the game into "dont ever attack me" so that you can win FFA games more easily in the future, distasteful. I don't have a general problem but I got steamed up in the context of this particular game. Sorry.

That's quite true. I'm trying to educate people that believing what other people say in a FFA, particularly people who have a history of misinforming for their own benefit in FFA games, is not a good idea. This will hopefully raise the level of FFA play in general, and result in more interesting games for me to play and watch rather than watch the same "only one player knows to scout for themselves, so they will almost always win" game over and over.

Watched the replay again...it's clear I was not aware of the gray message in the log saying "player has exited the game". I didn't pay attention to the ping I only saw his name on the factories and buildings and that was an indicator for me to see him as a target. If you want to see what happened watch the gameplay.

I more or less stand by what I've said in this thread and my advice for people playing FFA in the future, but some fraction of the things I said in the game would have been better left unsaid. I regret saying those things and apologise to you for saying them.

It's ok AUrankAdminAquanim, I was just messing with you :D. I tried to troll the game as much as possible and wanted to do as much dmg I could. In the end, I managed to recover :)
