Scallops are beat them in a straight up fight.

Archers were a huge disapointment this game, I'm yet to find out why three archers couldn't kill a single dagger some time at the middle of the game. The shower beam looked a magnitude underpowered, than the power I used to from archers.

Scallops.... I'm not so sure. I used few of them (but significantly less than needed to match halberds cost-wise). The net effect on turtled halberd was pretty much none.

Their water tanks got used on a mex. At least I think that it was the biggest issue.

Perhaps Archers shouldn't attack buildings unless directly ordered.

Scallops shred Halberds for cost. That is not the issue.

Issues are:
1) Scallops are very slow compared to Halberds
2) Scallops are easy to counter
3) Scallops are much worse against defenses compared to Halberds

I guess Ducks, Bouys and Scallops all work more or less. Ducks will need lotsa micro tho. Conches can help too.

I've run through some tests:
1. Scallops shred Halberds for cost - true, almost no casualties on scallops side
2. Buys - not at all, they just can't damage enough closed halberds
3. Ducks - do well, but half of them die

Next the archer thing. Believe it or not, but this game archers went out from the fac with empty water tanks!

This is how shower beam should look like. Notice how thick and abundant the beam is. Also notice watertank percentage indicator:

Archer weakness is a bug in that test version (fixed in stable).
