When the krow was attacking my base my brawlers stopped firing for some reason. They turned sideways and tried to race the krow somewhere 0_o? If they had fired, that extra 2000 damage to kill the krow would have been done. Shouldve gone with raOPiers.

It looked like the Brawlers were attacking, unless they were dying and falling to the ground. I'd have to look more closely, but it looked like the Brawlers were fighting until they died.

Upon closer inspection, it does indeed look like the Brawlers almost started to try to lead, or something like that. It is odd behaviour there.

I expected them to point their gun at the krow and just follow it shooting, instead of whatever they were trying to do. This problem may come from the strafe AI.

Yeah, that is most units "chase" behaviour since some Spring engine versions ago. Units direction of movement is parallell to the movement of the target rather than straight against it. Good to prevent units from clumping up and blocking eachothers path. Bad for gunships with limited arc of fire.
I were about to report on mantis but then I took a Brawler to the knee.
I talked about it in #sy. Didn't come further than discussing if it were a bug or a feature.
