RUrankHuj, use Anarchids attrition widget, it should be able to tell you when you lose a unit.

FWIW if there was a way to determine factory cancellations from nanoframe kills in the widget, i would be very happy.

You'd still lose the unit (and time invested), but it shouldn't count towards lost metal.

UnitDestroyed might be able to check health. That fixes all possible cases I think (morphs, tacnukes, djinns, fac cancels, expiring claws).

That's a very good idea! Only complaint would be that it would not work for enemy deaths, since in widget land UnitDestroyed is not fired for them.
