This is the map:

I suggest to make this map a 32 standard tournament map for FFA (1 vs 1 vs 1 vs 1 vs 1 ...32 players)

So... here we have the teams
From team 1 to team 14 we will have our newbies and low elo
From team 15 to team 24 we will have the experienced 1800-2100
From 25 to 30 we will have bigger elo players: 2100-2250
From 31-32 the biggest elo players :D

Is Lichoserver/Lobby even capable of hosting such a game?

I only remember playing 32+ player games twice ever, both were ages ago, in BA, and involved some admin to manually circumvent lobby limitations.

If Parzival had the power to make it happen then I am sure that Forever will
manage to organise a tourney.

Why wouldn't it be? There has been 14v14 in teams room recently.

All that being said I can safely say that I doubt that anybody will take on casting a speed metal FFA.

One question though, what makes this particular battle a tournament?

Because of the number of players and the fair starting position for each of them :). The bigger the elo the more in the middle you go :D.

So you can be a low elo player and have same chance to win :D. Its quite even for all players.

If you will find 32 players to fill the whole game ROrankForever. Right now you have 2 (assuming that you are going to play as well).

Just tell me how many players you find, and I'll make a sandcastles map of appropriate size :D

This does sound fun. It also sounds short for a lot of people. Non-randomized spawns mean that people would at least survive slightly longer than on Duck, for instance, but only just. ;P

Also, isn't the king's most advantageous spot in the middle? The highest elo will have everywhere to escape to! I'm sure the lower elo spots will be pushovers. :p

Remember that the highest elo players are surrounded by high elo players that most likely are conspiring against me right now as we speak.

isnt that map unfair for those who start not in corners on that player size?

It seems like the safest spots would currently be those of teams 4 and 11 with three neighbours. Second best would be 1,7,8 and 14 with four neighbours and third best 2,3,5,6,9,10,11 and 13 with five. Everybody else gets seven or eight neighbours with those more towards the center getting 8 and having to face higher skilled players right off the bat.

So yeah, current distribution would need changing a bit (specifically the corners) if lower Elo is to give one a better/safer starting position.

Also, how would you solve the issue of getting people into the right teams/right starting positions?
