The feeling that there are many possible tactics (I'm a noob so I may be wrong here)
Diversity of units
The way it does balance and its general feel of gameplay using physically simulated projectiles and movement. Also the amount of variety that comes from this system and balance.

There is an honest, entertaining community that I have lots of fun interacting with. Also because it is one of the best, most versatile RTS games I have ever played, right up there with Warcraft III on my favorites list.

fan of the TA style of games and the main line ones tend to be much more simple play styles (eg: the rock, paper and scissors counters.) where zero-k tends to reward weird combo making and play styles
