If you haven't beaten the CCR challenge yet, you may now offer your surrender to the machines.

Is it slasher spam?

Yeah, but it's crazy to see an AI move slashers into formation on its front lines like that, and especially when it was done in like a day.

You created XivenderAI SlasherAI. Nice!

Although I must say CAI seems worse than it used to be. Expands far too slowly and is too porcy. And the fusions it made are not connected to mexes.

The CAI has always been that stupid. :P On the other hand it also used to spread out its coms when on teams, but that probably got broken with the new start-polygon stuff.

You can try the challenge for yourself. It took me a good dozen of attempts, but i suck at zk ;)

Or just 1v1 it.

Here's what happened to my first test subject: Bots B416757 1 on Comet Catcher Redux

Psh, the picture must be fake. If this was real then all your units would've gotten stuck on solars 10000 times.
Oh wait, dis is 101.0.1-396-gb5854ae. Can't comment on that just yet.

Aaalright I just watched the replay. Pfff! All CAIs spawned at the same spot. One of them bugged out for 15s, probably due to a bad factory queue, not moving. Two out of three AIs spent the first 60 seconds walking around before finally plopping their factory. All factories started on the west half and in very bad spots (no or max 1 metal spot close). Granted, your AI's starting location also wasn't perfect and it's certainly interesting to see it beat its opponent, but I don't think this can be compared to the CCR macro challenge.

(blame shitty quality on new engine saving screenshots as .jpg)

How can I make the CAIs plop properly?
+0 / -0
Hack CAI, or hack CCR.

Edit: Woah, multithreaded pathing and multithreaded gridding

Edit2: CAI always failed to grid, but the reports that it is less aggressive and expansive than when i made the mission seem to be consistent. But maybe that's just the startposes issue.

Make them initiate in separate positions? Seems like they all go to place in the one spot, then only one will ever be successful. Then they panic and stupid. Split them up and make them plop immediately should fix?

Also, can you tech lock CAI? Just disable fusion. It's not great even when they do overdrive properly. Would increase difficulty by a lot.

You could technically. Probably would require a little coding though. CAI doesn't check if a unit is locked or not as far as I know.

The biggest problem with CAI is not rushing mexes fast enough. It prefers to porc instead of capping more.
