[Solved] Mex snap not working (Linux).

Hi there! I'm playing Zero-K on 64-bit Arch Linux. The mex snap feature isn't working, even after a /luaui reload. In order to build a mex I have to manually place the mex directly on top of the metal spot. This also makes the area mex build feature not work. Anyone know how to fix this?

I'm using the same distro and it works for me. I don't think it should matter, but what WM/DE are you using? Can you post your infolog?

xmonad is the DE. Infolog.txt is here. What should I be looking for in the infolog?

Mind linking to the game that caused that error spam? (I think I was in it)
There are some errors in the gadget that should also be solved. I can't assist with much more, but hopefully some game dev could investigate (maybe you should report this as a github issue)

The error spam is just because infra can't use the right engine version and I can't be bothered trying to force a stable to stick to Springies.

are you sure that you do not have alt bound to something in Xmonad?
I am using awesome by myself and I did not find a way to disable global keys for special apps like it was possible in KDE.
So I made sure to not having bound ALT in awesome

Try to set another key for area mex to see if it relies on key combo

Make sure you have these two widgets enabled:

You infolog seems to suggest that "Mex Placement Handler" is not enabled.

The actual errors he's getting are for some projectile homing gadget. Errors like that either suggest wrong engine version or a broken install. Since that was a multiplayer game and he didn't desync or fail to connect that pretty much suggests that his install is broken.

No, errors are due to the fact that ZK is played on the wrong engine version (that doesn't have radar jitter ignore function). Mex issue is not related to the error spam.

How did it get disabled in the first place?

ppl using arch linux tend to be aestetic and minimalist, Skasi. i have disabled a lot of needed widgets myself when started to play zk lol. then realized that it was dumb

I don't think I disabled it myself though.
