It's maybe simply because we lost, but somehow I feel this game is showing a kind of problem with licho...

One licho, a couple of hits and the game is lost. Is it the intended role of licho, and if yes, what could we have done to still keep a chance of winning?

Literally, the moment I saw the licho, I knew it was over. Ok, some will say "scouting". But what difference would it have done? I would have build a couple of tarantula in advance?

Generally a chainsaw does a semi-decent job of licho and air counter. Spam as needed.

start using licho to learn the counters

A few surprise hacksaws or an ambush can be laid if you know where it's heading or have a rough idea where it's heading. Or you can bait out the licho player into some newtons or something. Only works once though.

@_Shaman you were in the game so you can speak about how impossible it was to react due to small map/low metal/low player counts no?

Licho is a bit hard yes due to the speed, hp and range it has. It ever so slightly outranges hacksaw (which basically hurts it pretty hard). It has enough hp to survive some light to medium aa and escape.

Dealing with the heavy tank spam + porc push north without a factory or income was harder IMO.

This map is large one. Licho rush as large problem is on smaller maps where rusher kills coms very fast but mex is scare.
You have numerous variants what to do. One is build air yourself. Build gs and trident cover. Use traps like hacksaw. Powerfull enemy vs licho is sumo. Crashers work vs licho as well, flail will work if radar coverage is aviable.
One chainsaw will work poor but with mobile suport aa it can bring down licho. Screamer is most powerfull option. And it cost 2400 metal vs 2000 licho and you make enemy air useless until screamer is alive. You can also switch screamer off until it gets enought shoots to kill decoy swifts and licho. One valid tactics with shielb ball ir using racketeers to disarm licho before it hits.
Licho power is in anticluster role. When you stop using clusters and spread units then licho become less problem'.
As passive measure vs licho is uzing area shield, cloaking and commander self digging.
I have seen even how licho is killed by defenders and medicore aa.

LVrankSenaven this is all nice and good but you know, it just did not have the metal to build more than a couple hacksaw... assuming the licho did not bomb them as they I build them and assuming DIVO did not attack me, which he did of course with a crabe he had then the time to build as I could not push forward anymore due to licho one-shotting my com.

I watched that game. It wasnt licho why you lost. They had more incoming all game. You had 800 metal worth pylons in base with blue grid. Enemy expand faster in start. One player from your team just sit in base half game and was almost useless all game. Another one cluster his shield ball who gots bombed. The he send commander in frontline where it lost its hp below 2000 hp and get later bombed by licho.
If you would got more then half map and larger incoming then enemy and then loose i could understand about that licho OP but this game wasnt such. It was 3 vs 4 game. Also in some bombing raids licho gets heavy damaga as well.

What is 'Licho'?

My preferred solution to Wyvern is to make Swifts. Trying to fight it with static or ground AA is pretty difficult.

It's true that Wyvern is one of the cheapest "if you have an eco advantage one of these wins the game" options, but a surprise Wyvern does end the game far slower and far less surely than (say) a Krow.

I haven't watched the game so I don't know if it was viable with your composition in this particular game, but spreading out your army can buy you a lot of time.

My team held a good half if not more of the map without me doing anything but capping some mexes, Licho was just an easy solution to assure they wouldn't take back any map control. It also worked wonders against the shieldsuicideballs in the southeast.
