Looking pretty good. I'll try to make an account and do some image improvements. I'd like to see a more interesting header and better background. Screens are alright but there should be only 1 no-unit screenshot max, imo.

How about a couple of screens showing our new and polished ingame interface? or our awesome new lobby.

The description texts have always felt a little "sterile" to me. Not sure how I would make them better.

I would prefer more screenshots like this one:


single unit focus from a nice angle. the images are very small on the website so those seem to look best to me.

background image should be at least 4k if possible, otherwise 1440p. zk website background looks completely broken on >1080p screens.

I suggest the following revisions:

Decapitalise and move 'ships' to avoid repetition: vehicles, tanks, ships, hovercraft, planes, gunships, spider walkers,...

Tactical possibilities aren't limited by one's technical ability; instead, the interface has been designed such that anyone can easily command hundreds of units at the same time.

Terraforming and realistic explosions mean that the battlefield is always changing. Every unit has its specialties and can be countered by the right strategy. Zero-K also boasts a flat tech tree; all units are available from the start of each game with no research or buildup required.

On the other hand I think it's better to have screens that show a battle (optionally with UI), rather than a few units at high angles, which really isn't playing to ZK/Spring's strengths.

JPrankgajop sure, if you have some good looking screens just put them in here. I'd put those between the text though because the screens on the right are too small for anything but closeups. (Due to itch.io's bad CSS condensing everything into a tiny strip in the centre of the page)

We could also use a bird's eye battle for the background image.

I've updated the texts with Captain's suggestions, except for using "ever" instead of "always" as to avoid repetition.

Additionally there's now a section about the planet wars. They worked well during the last rounds and sell even better.

Yeah JPrankgajop, that is what the audience wants to see. I will watch some lobster parties this week and and snapshot the best scenes I can find in them. We need at least one shot with the UI for sure.

If enough people who join are interested in planet wars and and we have people willing to run planet wars, planet wars will come back. The infrastructure is still there and and as far as I know still works so it is probable.

Zero-K is the name of the account we registered. I think CZrankAdminLicho controls that one. I don't think is worth changing even though it is possible.

Text feedback as requested:

"real-world physics" sounds like an exaggeration (a lot of it isn't realistic), "simulated" perhaps?
(same deal with "realistic explosions")

Probably because of my programming hobby, but "technical" here sounds more like "skill with computer code and other such things" than "APM"
Maybe "dexterity?"

(because I'm that kind of person, I tried and failed to come up with phrasing that doesn't imply having things like muscle spasms or blindness won't impact the game at all)

Some minor stuff:

"Spider walkers" should be just "Spiders" perhaps
(also maybe remove Tanks, since to people outside the context of the game it just sounds like a subset of Vehicles)

@KingRaptor suggestions have been implemented, except for "simulated" instead of "real-world" physics which I've replaced by "realistic" for now. "Simulated" sounds rather negative outside technical interpretation.

Remember that we can't just release whenever. There is infrastructure and build system stuff to check with CZrankAdminLicho. Also, if you're going to advertise planetwars then planetwars had better be running. There may also be other things to wait for, such as the testing and release of some early campaign missions as well as unit renames.
