Can somebody explain what the deal with old lobby was?

Old lobby was an IRC client wrapped around a start game button

New lobby is in-game and more professional looking in every respect, and still undergoing polish.

I really dislike the general tone of many the posters in this forum now. Holy shit, an incredibly polished, free RTS game that is not only the cutting edge of its genre, but also rapidly growing more so and rapidly shaping up for a public release. People have worked hard on this for years and years for no money, just passion for a shared dream. Awesome!

How should we communicate with these people? Oh I know. Let's complain.

Old zklobby was ugly but had a nice built-in diagnostic log. Could do some other misc stuff like rapid package browsing. It would also ruin map uploads so I'm glad it's gone now. New lobby is much more presentable and easier to use.
