He just needed to use racketeers and focus the grizzlies down. Grizzlies are actually really bad, you just aren't countering them right lob. Just mass widow! It stuns grizzly!

Orfelius won because rANDY played really badly after the initial expansion phase when rANDY held most of the map. Orfelius were really far behind at that point.

rANDY had just traded his army for Orfelius army at this point in time, and left some 3000-4000 of wrecks in Orfelius territory. He didn't follow this up with more attacks but rather choose to invest into Swifts, probably expecting airplay from Orfelius or to counter raiding. His Swifts later fought above Orfelius AA withouth much success and died, but rANDY continued to make Raptors for almost 6000(!!!) metal and an Artemis for 2400 metal which I don't think ever fired and Orfelius never made anything else than Swifts from his airfactory. That is basically 8000 metal wasted.
When the initial 2 Grizzlies were made by Orfelius, they didn't have any Riot support. Randy didn't respond but let some 1000-2000 of his superior Rover force die before he pulled back. If he had just rushed in there and then he could easily have overrun the Grizzlies and probably killed the Amphbot factory too before the Scallops were made. Instead he tried pushing in later as the Scallops were being made, but then he had to retreat again without doing much damage, while losing more Rovers.
He continued to invest some 3500 metal into 5 Impalers, which I think never targeted the static defence they are actually able to hit, but which instead, were haphazardly used to fire at mobile units and radar dots.

He then made 3 Dantes, which Grizzlies counter easily when they have superior mass. Nothing in the Strider Hub is particularly good against Grizzlies actually. 2 of those Dantes were just sent into a suicide raid, without making cost as Orfelius Grizzlies chased them down. That is some 10500 metal into units that were already countered by what Orfelius had on the field.
He also made an Ultimatum which didn't even kill a single Grizzly.

Randy also sent the last part of his Rover force in a suicide raid where he killed some defences and mexes, but the Rover force were cutoff by Grizzlies and it simply did not make cost.

rANDY started to make Grizzlies of his own but as a large force of enemy Grizzlies were getting into his base, he chose to try and basetrade with his own Grizzlies instead of defending his base. By the time rANDY had destroyed the initial base of Orfelius, he had basically lost all of his production capabilities and build power, while Orfelius were still spamming out more Grizzlies.

Like Godde wrote, Randy invested too much on the wrong stuff: AA, impalers, dantes.

The impalers did kill some porc but were totally ineffective against the mobile units. Pillagers would have been a better choice, when he changed to those it was already too late.

Other options were raiders + thunderbird, or making lances.

I wonder what would have happened if the raptors, the ultimatum, the 3 dantes, the 5 impalers, had been replaced by a half a dozen berthas.
