Crash-Access Violation error

Hello all,

Today I tried firing up the game to continue with my campaign, however after the auto-update did its thing it seems I'm getting an error I never got before: While loading the mission, I get a crash labeled "Crash-Access Violation". I noticed this usually seems to occur while loading the skirmish AI.

I tried running zero-K in administrator mode (since it seems to be a file access problem?) and disabling antivirus (Avast) as well as adding the zero-K folder to my antivirus exceptions. These did not work.

So, my questions are threefold:
1) How could I fix this error?
2) How could I reinstall the game without losing my campaign progress and commander upgrades? (in case other fixes don't work)
3) For the future, how do I disable automatic updates?

This is a link to the infolog.txt contents: https://pastebin.com/zhzM1N5i

Thank you for your time!

not Dev so disregard me as needed.

it is a known bug to the Dev that newest skirmish AI version was not properly deployed. Latest engine skimish AI work fine for me [checked 30 sec ago] hopefully that solve your problem.

you could try moving the zero-k directory to a less sensitive place.. sometimes the location is key to granting access rights

i think windows it defaults to C:\Users\user\Documents\My Games\Zero-K

perhaps moving it may create other problems idk.. but i do know that many antivirus protect file locations such as documents folder

We're having an issue with deploying the correct AI version. I've just made a temporary fix while we figure out what is going on.

I just tested it, and the campaign works again! Thank you for the speedy help of you and the rest of the team, now I can get back to getting my ass kicked.

I would still be interested in knowing how to disable auto-updates however, if that's at all possible?
