Feature request: Could airpads be optionally set to NOT override unit behavior?

I've had incidents where my bombers, who were set to not retreat, and to hold fire, had their behaviors overridden while they were landing on an airpad for repairing/rearming, such as being set to retreat at 66% health and to fire at will. However, since I might want to set some bombers, such as Ravens and, sometimes, Likhos and Thunderbirds, to hold fire so that they do not engage targets other than the ones that they were assigned, and since I might want to set other bombers, such as Phoenixes and, at other times, Likhos and Thunderbirds, to fire at will so that they can be more effective when patrolling for and intercepting enemy troops on the ground, I'd probably want this kind of overriding behavior be toggleable for both Airpads and Airplane Plants (since they come with a free rearming pad).

Airpads don't override bomber behaviour. Can you make a replay?

Sorry. I might've been mistaken, since I'm not getting that behavior on a subsequent test on the campaign mission at Bavhakya (where I 1st encountered this "issue" while using my Likhos to bombard enemy forces). However, this begs the question: what's the point of having fire states and retreat thresholds for stationary non-constructing buildings like Airpads?
