Here's a list of issues and to-do's so that we can move on to the latest engine. You can help by going to the "Test Engine" host and playing there.

While there may be more bugs at first, using the latest engine will allow the engine devs to fix crashes and make DErankkatastrophe happy.

Known Issues


  • Brawlers get stuck in the factory
  • Terraform/Line commands don't work

To Do


  • Test performance. There has been a performance problem with earlier test engines, make sure it hasn't become worse.
  • Test stability. Report any crashes that you encounter with this engine and link the report here.
  • Play big games. Try a big teams or FFA game on the new engine. See if there are differences.


Disclaimer: I'm not responsible for the engine, in the end GoogleFrog will have to make the decision to switch. Either way, the more testing we can do before, the smoother it'll be to switch in the end.

How to test new engine? If I try to join the engine test host I get red error "Restart to get correct engine version", but it is never downloaded.

If you're on Windows, you can just ignore this. It will be downloaded and started when you start a game.

On Ubuntu, it doesn't work right now because the proper launch arguments aren't being set.

The engine test host has disappeared.

Tested today on the DEV engine test host.
Terraform seems to work and Gunships no longer get stuck in factory.
Seems that some queued patrol orders still get bugged. Replay:
