We have ballistic weapons increasing range with elevation. I had a shower thought why line of sight doesn't do the same?

Sensor range does not increase by elevation i guess.

Erm I meant to say I think that radar does increase.
Also I disagree as thanks to planet curvature it does increase as long as weather allows.

The prime reason is that the engine doesn't support it - this would require non-circular sight (because you don't want standing on the top of a cliff to increase sight range towards the plateau). This sounds expensive (both in the terms of the mana to patch the engine and the performance cost ingame) so would need a matchingly good justification.
Ground unit LoS actually decreases with altitude above ground when flying
which exists so that flinging a Dirtbag/Flea does not result in uncounterable and cheap scouting.
