300 metal for 10bp/flying, and flying is actually a downside for frontline reclaiming.
What would be good buffs for this underused flying piece of metalwaste?

Maybe more HP and a model that looks more durable. The Wasp could be the sturdy flying constructor and the Crane the fragile one. The Athena is already different because it's expensive, able to build some mobile units, unable to build everything a normal constructor can etc.

Ya this unit is one of worst cons. Planes eat it, long range aa just cook it if its near front. Plus its very slow.
I would like moving speed buff.
Interesting idea if wasp could deploy on ground and become only like caretaker. Then front line repair and reclaim could be more usable. But this mean another mess.

it could be an earth-wasp, digging itself in and reclaiming from below the ground.

(they could also form hives and reproduce...)

Making a crane/wasp ball is a legit threat... to ur own team :\
Both could use 50% HP buff... crane is made of paper, wasp made of thicker paper but damn, it's still paper

Imo a metal cost decrease to 180 and bp decrease to 5 would make starting gs less troll, and building/losing a frontline wasp less painfull.

No one ever explained to me why it was so damned expensive so I made up my own reason: That gunship starts in 1v1 with blastwing pwning the enemy early on would be ridiculously OP if the gunship player could also expand rapidly.

That said, more HP wouldn't change much in terms of expansion. I'm in favour of it.

Can anyone explain the cost?

The costs comes from it being a flying con + 10 bp.

I think the flying part is overrated in terms of metal cost.

Edit: Ofcourse bw changes would be acceptable if starting gs became viable after wasp buff. But im uncertain if starting gs will be viable given the current state of most aa vs gs.

GS start was super OP vs some factories. Easy and fast expansion with the unit before wasp was part of the issue.

It used to have the current air con right fealthas? I think wasp will have more trouble running from raiders than the air con if we keep it flimsy, so gs expansion will function the same as most ground facs.

yes the wasp is too costly for begginers, need to lower for newbies so they can learn to adapt.

I dont think wasp is a noobtrap, wasps are a trap in general.

I also want sting sidearm added for wasp. Make wasp great! It should be like waspinator!

Sidearms are a lame solution imo.

Can we please get back to reasonable suggestions instead of memes?
When these kind of insane suggestions start popping up, threads die and nothing gets changed. :/

Agree. Valid discussion to be had here.

To summarize so far, it appears that the wasp would be better off staying high cost to prevent rapid early expansion, but find some way to justify that cost. Or lower the cost but prevent rapid expansion.
