I suggest to nerf it. Make it a, individual unit, not than morphing process the radar and let it cost 220 metal like a razor. Then the action will be equal to the opposition.

its simple really just spam the fuck out of the best raider you can think of (glaive) and opress the fuck out of them while u naked expand everywhere and put your sneaky constructors to make it to the enemy base and spam stingers,but remeber make many sparrows so you know where everything is while u raid all the weakspots and slow the enemy down so much it becomes a stomp in 5 min.

The secret i find is when to switch to skirmishers to break enemy riots and light anti raider centric defenses.

Sparrow is crazy powerful. If your opponent has one and you don't, you're at a huge disadvantage. And if you both have them, then fog-of-war is nearly absent.

That said, you didn't lose this game because of Sparrow. You lost because of plain old radar, sitting on the ground like it always has been. PetTurtle had radar coverage all over his base, and you had zero. He had plenty of time to reposition his reserve forces to intercept your attacks, and you had none. He didn't track your units using his Sparrow, he did it with his radar coverage.

Radar saves live. Even without the Sparrow morph.

There's no secret to it. It's not hard. Just watch his base with your Sparrow, and when he makes riots you make skirms.

Easy peasy.

Sparrow should be easier to shoot down, way easier. There are two approaches to this:

- Make it expensive enough that it's worth getting something of Crasher's weight just to get rid of it. Currently the only AA that's cheaper than the Sparrow is Vandal, and it's far from capable of actually shooting it down with the new fight AI.

- Make it fragile enough that a single Picket can make it stop existing.

200 hp means that it dies to two Picket shots (out of three), which qualifies for "die to a single Picket".

The Sparrow balance might be in the right place already, just that the playerbase hasn't adjusted the meta yet.

Maybe Sparrow doesn't need to be easy to kill, i.e. instadeath when it gets in range. Maybe it just needs to be easy to threaten, so that building any AA (including Picket) is enough to keep the eye-in-the-sky away. So if you don't want the enemy to know what you're doing, you make a small bit of AA to chase it away from your side of the map.

If you build a picket that keeps a 140m sparrow 600 elmo away but fails to kill it, then the enemy still gets all the intel and you pay 100m to achieve nothing.

I enjoy the sparrow it makes the rapped expand meta weak since you can spot the undefended con your opponent sent to the corner of the map, as to defending yourself most factories have units that can set up traps with the help of radar: cloaky has snitch which I had a lot of success with, shield have roach which is a better snitch, rover have fencers and so on. These units can cover all your flanks with no need to spam llt.

As to Intel, in the early game its mostly meaningless unless your rushing, but when you have 15m/s you should have no problem getting 300m of aa

I like that there is some new changes going on, but I am not a fan of tactics that are nobrainers, things are so powerful and useful to do that you'd be shooting yourself in the foot if you didnt do it every game.
