Can anyone create a list of instructive rover replays to watch?

Perhaps https://zkstats.antihype.space/#logtime might help?

Clicking:
- On the tile "Rover Assembly" down the left side of the Matchups grid,
- and dragging an time range of the last few months under "Match start time",
- and dragging elo ranges of about 2.5k+ for so both the winner and loser had 2.5k+ elo

Gives me a list of 152 probably relevant games to watch.

You could add filters over the game time, if you're specifically interested in how to develop in longer games; or to specific maps, if there's a particular map you're interested in; or even clicking a specific cell on the matchups grid, if you want to see how Rover faces a particular factory.

If there are any other facets that you think might be worth filtering over which aren't present, let me know, and I'll see if I can add them.

Yes. I created it a bit over a year ago now, I think. This was the announcement thread: https://zero-k.info/Forum/Thread/29331

Hey NZrankesainane. I have a suggestion. Pls make a feature where I can filter units. So the filtered units should be featured in the replays. I want replays in which emissaries are featured in tank vs rover.
Thanks!

GoogleFrog plays a lot of Rovers and is very good with them. I played a few tanks vs rovers matches with him but I didn't build Emissaries :( Still, his games are probably pretty interesting and you should be able to find someone running emissaries against him.

While the data exists, I can't really think of a good interface that allows one to filter by replays that "feature" a unit, and having the browser download counts of the hundred or so unique units for each of 18k replays would be pretty burdensome.

For really specific queries like this, I suppose you could recursively download the intermediate logs from https://zkstats.antihype.space/stats/ and mass search every events.log to find replays which use Emissaries. I've run a one-liner which searched through replays that appeared to have a non-zero number of finished Emissaries, then prints and sorts by that number while providing a link to the replay in question.

(Very long) results beneath the cut.
