It's a simple platform game, miss $71 for Linux support goal and have 3 hours to end the Kickstarter.

P.S.: is a XNA framework game difficult to port to Linux?

Im starting to be alergic on "retro games". Kickstarter and Greenlight is full of them. (But if you like it back it)

PS: Why do we need those games anyway? snes, sega ... brought thousends of them to us http://www.zsnes.com/

Agree that it is a very specific taste, i think it exploded after Minecraft did bring back the "old graphic" like things?

And yeah Emulators are great, love Metroidvania (Castlevania: Symphony of the Night) style games :)

Update:
Linux support is CONFIRMED!

P.S.: for guys that like platform game were a list of ones i fount interesting in Kickstarter (them are all over, you will need to wait them get released, but them are all for Linux too):
The Crystal Catacombs (random procedurally generated maps + Editors + Etc mod support, one i am waiting the most)
http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/crystalcatacombs/the-crystal-catacombs
Did remember me of "Classicvania - Harmony of Dissonance" (too bad it got canceled)

A.N.N.E ("Metroidvania meets Gradius", feel like when Final Fantasy did add Airships to RPG, but now its happening to platforms)

Chasm (more Platformer procedurally generated Metroid-like dungeons)
http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/discordgames/chasm/

Red Rogue (To end this a Open Source procedurally generated one that is finished/released)

Pff, I still haven't even finished Cavestory (the three bosses in a row are 2much4me), let alone completed all different endings of Iji. Why'd I need more than those?

Well I've played Braid (not played through either) and And Yet It Moves, but those are more puzzle and less pew pew. Oh and not free/open source, so screw them. :3

Not gonna start listing all the oldies.. so anyway, what I was about to say: You are too much into kickstarter, fort. Not that this was bad, it's just something I happened to notice. :P

Skasi, actually i am still in free/open source, see Red Rogue, Mari0 looks fun too.
It's just that i have less hope of them getting completed, most time it get canceled/abandoned, sad but true.
Long time ago, i did follow this topic (http://forums.tigsource.com/index.php?topic=2884) now a site, there was so many good "promises" that never got released or only got a very short demo/alpha.

On kickstarter there at least more hope of it getting a full complete/final release.

Like now i am waiting for Environmental Station Alpha (Metroid pixel like The Crystal Catacombs did to Castlevania). But lets see if it ever release something.

No idea, watch the video/trailer and decide for yourself?
I personally like the random procedurally generated element in them and A.N.N.E was a interesting genre fusion/hybrid.

Like RPS say:
“Looks nice, but sure looks like yet another pixel roguelike.”
“He’s got a really decent jump. That’s neat.”
“Wait, distractions? There’s more happening here.”
“Oh. Oooohhhh. Oh, okay, yeah, I’m posting about this.

I think the best thing is to watch this video for yourself:

P.S.: do we have a spoilers "tag"?
