Can we make some sort of gentleman's agreement to not use them until the next stable release? As they are now they are very broken.

Dirtbag, Bandit, Oultlaw (and to a lesser extend roach) have serious issues. That is most of the factory :S

The dirtbag is the worst of all, but that has been addressed, we will see what the next stable brings.

Well, to be fair fixing just one of those units could be sufficient for the factory. After all, not every unit needs to be perfectly balanced. If there's just a single, or two OP units in a factory, then spam can easily be dealt with by using counters. If there's more then it's getting pretty hard. So what I'm trying to say is, because of RPS the dirtbag change might be just enough to fix the whole shield-lab issue.

Back on topic: zomg who plays 1v1 anyway. :P

I certainly play 1v1, and there are definitely others who play with me. I'm not sure how many play exclusively 1v1 like me, though.

There should be a new stable soon-ish. (correct me if I'm wrong here) It will use 94.1.1 with some significant performance optimizations. As far as I am aware we are down to ironing out minor bugs now.

As far as "some sort of gentleman's agreement to not use them until the next stable" goes, do you really expect people to honor it? I, for one, can not see something like that changing anything.

I prefer 1v1, but been avoiding it a bit cause I dont feel like doing shieldbot mirrors

You can remove dirtbax but dont touch other units! (I dont use dirtbags anyway cause they require micro ^_^)

when will this agreement be lifted? I played shields almost exclusevly just because I understand them better and their AI is not back-stabbing (although rouge had this problem and i think thug and felon still do, although i never build thugs and have no more then 1 felon on the field).
I find cloakies unplayable since the enemy needs only 50% of your army to destroy you in a unmicroed battle due to warriors, zeus and sniper killing each other all the time.
I also find other facs are not vible as a standard all-round fac (knorke will laugh at me, I know), since LV, HV and hover are kinda restricted to flat maps to use their full potential and amph's, spiders, jumpy's are not able to function independently.
Besides, since when did shields become so OP? all i've seen is nerf nerf and nerf (apart from the buff-nerf for the outlaw, wicth made me stop using it forever for it's clumsyness became a problem with things not dying fast enough. This also removed the thug from my army for I no longer needed it)

Agree with both shielz and scrubbers (although few people use scrubbers they are op in big maps when used properly)

What about air? doesn't the air fac force a mirror-boring plane game too? And what about siletto...

I just get frustrated by the glaive vs bandit raider game and the general sillyness of the dirtbag.

glaives are cloaky bots - they auto pwn anything in an ambush - the only thing more ambushy are fleas... and my name is kmar

Seriously try jump fac against them. Pyro just counters everything in the factory, it goes through shields and kills outlaws.

Also, if your warriors zeus and sniper are killing eachother you need to CLICK AND DRAG for every move order. Use a line-move order, a custom formation, and this won't happen! You're letting your units cluster up (as if they were shieldbots).

Anyway you want to play a 1v1 without shieldbots just tell the other player before you start the game and try to get them to agree to your conditions.

saktoth outlaw utterly murders pyros.
they're only 30m more expenisve then a single pyro and shiedballs regularly walk around with 2-3 together that much slow pulse ruins pyros so hard its ridiculous

not even counting what happens if outlaw and bandits encounter pyros
they just evaporate
entire fac bar maybe felon and thug need taking a hammer to the face

Why are you waiting until he has 2-3 outlaws? Why are you waiting until he has a shieldball? With pyro spam from the start of the game you can completely contain him, retreat your pyros from his bandits, jump them away, and you will outrange them and watch them burn to death. Thug and convict shields are completely penetrated, pyros can raid excellently and assault light defenses and bases. They are perfect comm-killers and once you get a comm wreck, you can turn it to puppies or reclaim it.

I didn't even do a particularly great job, I lost a few pyros because my jump micro is not perfect.

new outlaw is too nerfed and useless imo

shields are useless now. How can u nerf 3 units from one factory in one patch.
hard nerfs, outlaw halved dmg, dirtbax doubled cost..lol
and no, Im not telling this because I looked at numbers. I played shield bots and found them much weaker vs other facs now.
