In the games I've played against sfireman he seems to do the same thing over and over. Predictable behaviour after you see it happen the first time. Its "flavours" he goes thru. For example his current flavour seems to be rush bomber and a few avengers into commanders. The avengers attempt to finish the commander while the bombers retreat. Early scouting will tell you what he is going to do as he is quite predictable. Once this strategy fails instead of adapting he often resigns. If he doesnt krow rush he singu rushes. If he doesnt do either of those and makes an air factory you can expect either a phoenix scout or this avenger+shadow crap. Survive that he'll rage and resign.
It doesn't just take killing his com to make him resign
Anarchid its defeating his strategy that makes him resign - be it troll com, avenger+shadow rush, singu rush, krow rush, or otherwise.
For krow rush a simple fix is Flails. Flails are faster and outrange the krow as well as dealing high alpha. 15-20 of them and you will down a krow in less than three vollies. They also defeat his avenger/shadow strategy as they will take out an avenger guaranteed if they launch a missile.
For trollcom, a simple skuttle or spy will handily defeat him. Snipers are okay too but if he has one of those jumpy coms a spy or skuttle will do best. Snipers you would need to set these on hold fire and get a small group of them going -- enough to suddenly kill his commander.
Another rarer strategy he uses is com napping -- havent seen him do this in a while. Light AA will usually scare him away. Target the gnats first tho as this will prevent the transport from working its magic.
On smaller maps he may try Black Dawn rush. Get some mobile AA (Flails are a good idea due to their high alpha) and cover your coms. Or even better: bait him into attacking your com and ambush the bd with jethros. FUN.
For his scything crap, just set up fleas in a line covering a front or implement anti-scythe defenses (solars in a row surrounding a LLT or otherwise). He usually uses these to attack commanders, singus, fusions, or factories. Terraform walls (10 high I think blocks kbot movement type) also works.
General Advise:
Just communicate with your team, have your air scout him quickly and he poses little to no threat against a competent team or a team that will listen to someone. If someone says make AA, make some AA -- preferably mobile aa. If you see he is trying troll com, make anti-heavy or ticks+eraser.
