This is the kind of gameplay Wolverines foster. Either outspam the other guy with Wolverines or get bigger arty of your own. Even assaults get whittled down eventually. At least Tremor is good against them, my first (or was it the second?) made pretty easily silver level cost.

Interesting game though, I guess if I had started making a Silencer when Anarchid suggested it we likely would have won.

Likely most interesting game of tournament.
Wonder what would have happened if EErankAdminAnarchid had kept air control. Also lots of misses by Lichos.

"suspicious hole meta" XD

Tremors were pretty bad, a far more effective reaction to mass wolverine on a stationery frontline:

> suiciding a few phoenix in
> make a silo, which would have been omg effective here
> make an annhilator, which would also have been omg effective
> make a sneaky pete or two

also, later in the game, switching to mass hermit, rocko or glaive and just flooding in behind a reaper charge could have easily won the game

crabbes are useless when your opponent is rocking spy and impaler

cool watch :)

I considered Annihilator, but by then BD had quite a few Impalers and Skasi had quite a few Ravens. I figured Anni would be useless and would have no chance surviving for any reasonable time at that point. A far back silo would have perhaps been the best option, but those Tremors were doing pretty decently as well.

I suffered heavy losses every time Skasi came to bomb my army. Frankly I wasn't sure what I should do against that, I wanted to make heavy static AA but I was up against mass artillery spam (including Impalers) so that didn't seem like a good idea. I resorted to continually spamming Defenders under artillery fire to ward off the Ravens but with so much artillery on the field it wasn't very effective.

In retrospect I should have pushed out 10 or so Copperheads and used those instead of statics to guard my Reapers and Tremors. Or perhaps I should have made a plane fac and Swifts of my own.

In general, missile silo can be a strong move in these late game fights. 2K metal in launcher + missiles can be as effective as a sumo.

mobile land AA is not the solution, it all fails miserably against mass bomber. Fixed AA can make cost but not with so much arty. Only screamer or fighter spam would have worked imo.

the tremors made cost over time, but the silo would have done so much faster and aided a push. All tremor does is maintain the status quo. Its a classic case of a counter unit that costs WAY more than the units it is supposed to counter, takes a long time to counter them and is largely useless at everything else.
