spring is the game with most maps i have ever seen, why do we have to feature crappy remakes like this one?

Which highlights some issues with this game, this engine, this community:
- the game manages to play fine even on most retarded maps.
- you can rehash any map and result will be a playable map.
- you can rehash any bad map and the result will be a better playable map.
- mapping isn't really that much of work (see above).
- the only reason we don't have prettier maps is because there are no tools for good maps (but rehashing stuff or making diffuse textures in paint is easy).
- i really love to rant about the spring toolset.
