CArankAdminShadowfury333 was using the staircase for Starcraft 2 (this) and I thought about how to write something similar. This game is a result of telling him to queue Dart Mason Scorcher Dart Scorcher Ravager on repeat and ignore the queue for the rest of the game.

To be more like a staircase I thought of some metrics and rungs.

Metrics:
  • Value Lost at most even with opponent for first 2/3 of game.
  • Metal Produced at least even with opponent for first 2/3 of game.
  • Metal Excess at zero.

Rungs:
  • (Sco Mas Sco Sco), Mex, Solar, Radar
  • (Dar Mas Sco Dar Sco) LLT, Level 2 Commander
  • (Dar Mas Sco Dar Sco Rav) Caretaker, Stardust
  • (Dar Mas Sco Dar Sco Rav), can alt-insert other Rovers as required.
  • The ability to add a Plane Factory with Raven on repeat. Air repair pad.

I did something similar to practice, alhough i did not know about this staircase. I played against 1 CAI in the beginning. Choose Cloaky - queue up constructor, 2 rockos, warrior, Zeus, Repeat - set factory to fight-command to enemy base - set up retreat-zone - only focus on building eco aka expansion (and bp for repair-zone) - don´t look at your units. You are effectively doing the same than CAI. This way i engraved the keyboar-shortcuts for building into my brain.
IMO it´s useful to learn the different aspects of the game in a methodicaly structured way.
