Dregs say:
Spiders are the meta. iziryad, me and Godde are always doing that.
izirayd after playing a game on Adansonia say:
Spiders are a joke. I should stop going spiders.

I have long ago compiled the top-list factories, where if I play for something that is in the first positions, then I win, at least I do not suck and the opponent does not get victory easily.
I have heard a thousand times about the fact that each factory is unique, has strengths and weaknesses, in fact, this is complete nonsense.
There are types of units, the factory has types of units, the quality depends on their quantity. It turns out that one factory has almost all types of types, well, literally everything, and another plant does not have 2 types at once, while the properties of some units are terrible.

The other day I came across one guy, he played hovers, I took spiders and you know, he just made one lance and calmly spammed with it, my attempts to attack did not give anything, since the scalpel is pretty good. I just built hovers and destroyed my opponent with particular ease.

In general, pick the best factories, those that have all the typing

What's your point Godde?

Something about map balance probably.

USrankDregs you need to provide more than a heavily cropped screenshot to try to demonstrate much with data. The NZrankesainane page has more dials to tweak than it has raw data, so it can be hard to avoid falling into p-hacking-like traps when using it. You should at least send images like this:

(annotations are for a potential bug)

Sure thing AUrankAdminGoogleFrog although the snippet is sufficient to back up my claim if you have prior context (e.g. you are SErankGodde or RUrankizirayd). Wasn't putting much thought into presentation towards a wider audience.

What was your claim? My guess is that it is about the popularity of spiders on a map (Ravaged?) under some elo-culling of the data. (Also, don't feel the need to backfill a widely applicable or strong claim if you were just making an addendum or similar comment).

Don't use the pie charts if you're trying to make a claim about winrate as they are very misleading. I can feel the psychology of those charts telling me that Spider is really favoured, just look at the massive swing on the left!. However if I calm down and eyeball some numbers off your screenshot then the data is much less impressive. Lets say Spiders are in 66.6% of wins and 52% of losses, the corresponds to a winrate of merely 0.56. You can see the same thing happening in my screenshot (where I provide some numbers).

To be fair, the win rate of 56% includes mirrors. Without mirrors it's 7 to 4 for a nastier 63% win rate against all other factories, but again, it's such a small sample size - all it would take is a winning streak of 3 games of other facs beating spiderfac to turn that to 50%.

My comment is essentially that spiders are generally understood to be the done thing on Ravaged. I think the chart backs that up somewhat.
