Tank really suffers vs amph (and many other factories) due to lack of skirm. Tank basically hasn't had a skrim since Emissary got pack/unpack.

(branching out from tank has been such a weight off my shoulders, while I'm worse with other factories they're inherently better than tank)

You exist within a time period where amphbots only have 1 unfavourable matchup (spiders, and with lobster even this can be overcome).

The reason for this is because they have too many viable escalation options, whereas other factories are lacking. So is the problem tanks, or is it amphbots?

This is the worst case of factory rps imo. 2600+ games in the last 6 months have tank at a 20 something percent win rate.
(Spider vs shield also is quite terrible.)

I don't know if amp is just too good right now though. Tanks are struggling vs shields right now as well, but you don't see much of shields.

Edit: I looked again and the number isn't quite as bad as what I was remembering. In July it improved from a 25% win rate to a 32% win rate.

ISTM RUrankizirayd was winning out until the Buoys appeared, which seemed to be a genuine problem for tanks. There was a bit of a dice roll early on when two Kodas were killed just barely before getting out of range. Had they survived (to recover) then GBrankdyth68 's expansion would have been a lot more pressure - credit of course for doing just enough to kill them. I just think the margins were razor thin in the early game.

This does seem like a map where amph should be a fair choice, given the amount of water involved, as opposed to an all ground map where it should be worse.
