I see in the Discord that you're referring to the Lotus prefiring at the Venom before the Venom is actually able to be shot at. As far as I can tell, this is default behavior. The lotus seems to be firing at the wobbling radar dot that it believes it is able to fire at, as radar dots also wobble across elevation. You can try it yourself.
