New FW newton cannon finding leaves citizens concerned for singularity reactor lives.

Utilizing the state of the art technology, a scythe is accelerated down the cannon line and teleports directly into a target, smashing into it, causing massive damage.

The thing is you need a unit that can teleport, and that is, afaik, in Future Wars only scythe and strike commander. It is quite pricy, but like, to take donw a singu, you need two scythes, so it costs like a jack (ok, more, because you won't have a 100 % success rate). And since those scythes are pretty light, you have a crazy high range, and also scythes are invisible until the collision, so no turret or anything can prevent that damage (except for holes and walls around all important structures). And if nothing else, you can use them for scouting.
Imho it is even better against more expensive structures in FW, such as the GAMR cannon, BB, or prosperity. That way, even if you send like 6 scythes and miss with 4 of them, you still make a very good cost.

It also doesn't work on units on pedestals but there's a huge terror potential of watching scythes fly through your base like that and smash into things. Surprisingly, scythes deal a lot of damage as they're accelerated to faster speeds. IIRC I one-shotted a singu in one of these later matches.
