Oh, I remember the days when I played Half-Life on win98 :) About the time when Win XP was released I completely switched to Linux. Now I can remember the old days by playing Half-Life natively on Linux!

Let's see if I can activate the old cd-key on Steam for Linux.

I thought this day would never come. :')

Amazing that we have Microsoft to thank for it also.

Don't think of it as Half-Life itself, but as a visceral synbol of Valve's dedication to seeing gaming through on Linux.

This is much more than when they added Mac support, as they have announced plans to create their own linux-based console.

It's not like Linux will be the dominant gaming platform any time soon, if ever, but it is very quickly becoming serious business.

Speaking as someone playing team fortress 2 on linux via steam. There are ZERO game crippling bugs and ZERO Workflow interruption bugs. Just a few odd button clicks here and there on the client. They are doing an extremely proper job.

IM playing TF2. I even spend 5€ on in game shop.

Its fluid now, but when released i had terrible FPS. Using fglrx from xorg-edgers, Ubuntu 12.10.

This is like asking for trouble^3
(fglrx just suxx)
(xorg-edgers makes stuff segfault)
(12.10 unity segfaults on my work desktop at least once per hour when i move/resize windows)
