Well... on one hand this map seems to make "cloaky maps". But on the other hand, the graphs at 3:30 are pretty revealing:
  • Army value: 1380 for Cloaky, 640 for Amph
  • Defense value: Zero for Cloaky, 180 for Amph
  • Value lost: 455 for both sides

Amph opened with a constructor and expanded in two directions (with a detour to make wind on a hill). Cloaky finished its first constructor at 1:50. By this point Cloaky had built 12 Glaives and Amph had only built six Ducks. The Glaives regularly outnumber the Ducks, in the enemy base, with all the travel time and defenders advantage taken into account. Then Amph adds another constructor.

My takeaway is that perhaps a Glaive-mashing opponent requires some respect and response, rather than continuing with a generalist strategy. I think it is reasonable to open with a constructor and expect to not die, but to drop 150 metal on an extra constructor, when there is more cost in Glaive on radar than you have Duck, feels quite greedy.
