Just looks like bigger eco wins. I'm not convinced Cyclops did particularly great for cost (clearly not useless either).

Are there still collated stats on how units did, what multiple of cost they killed etc? ISTR seeing them years ago.

Damn, watching the replay, Cyclops really is pretty shit now.
Seeing a cyclops running for its life from 3/4 of its worth in Ronin's was funny though :D
<1K of glaives repeatedly driving off 5-10K metal in cyclops was also fun :D
I don't think there's a realistic army combination they'll make cost against. Even at 10 to 1 cost ratio, they were still doing poorly (losing more than the enemy metal wise).

Yes, it was horrible how a bunch of lightweight raiders managed to actually kill an anti-heavy assault near the end.

Almost like they were a counter to it, or something :P

Probably not in a straight fight, but their survivability is good. The question is, are they ever a better choice than Minotaurs?

They did horrible things to other Cyclops when in superior numbers, doh :P

EErankAdminAnarchid : If it were just raiders that'd be one thing, but it also gets completely trashed by skirmishers and any assault it can't kite, hell, even most arti and some riots.
Even against those assaults it can kite, its damage output is so poor that they'll safely retreat or raiders/skirmishers will be brought in before it can do much.
It's basically the world's worst skirmisher: tough, good against riots it can kite, able to run away if the enemy has no raiders (or other unit that's faster that it), dies horribly in every other scenario. (Bad against almost everything, no clear use case.)
It currently has no place as a front line unit and should never appear in a competitive game.
It even loses horribly to Dominatrix :(

Modstats went defunct in 2013 when its data collection mechanism was broken by an update to the Spring RTS Engine.
