Something wonky akin to GBrankSparkles report happened to me here from minute 12 onwards.
I cannot emphasize enough how I 100% did not do this. It was as though someone else was controlling the units.

I was trying to move my units up on the hill, but they kept giving themselves move commands to other positions. This persisted even after many repeated commands. I think it has something to do with the unitAI trying to be helpful, but interfering. After my units had automatically given themselves an attack command on a pyro and I cancelled that command using stop, they started behaving normally again.

You can see how it happened here:

You can also see it even happened when I was simply trying to give a move command to a nearby position, without sending the units up the ramp. They kept moving into the opposite direction.

That just looks like a misbehaving shield guard widget. It probably isn't related.

What do you mean by shield guard widget? Is there some widget that automatically groups up shields or sets wanted_max_speed? I didn't hold control and don't want shields to group up by themselves.

There is a widget that replaces guard on shielded units with repeated move orders towards the unit.

Even if I don't issue any guard commands?

You must have issued some guard commands.

Check the video in the op. I press shift many times which shows all orders. There are no guard orders on the shield ball.
