I spammed clams. To great effect. I used shields and walls to protect my clams.
Amphibous shields on the bottom of the sea seems abit OP. If they were on the surface i think it would be better.
Also torpedoes doesn't seem to do a terrain check making them fire straight into terrain obstacles.

Imho, allowing shields and cloakfields to operate on the floor was the wrong solution to "comms can shield/cloakfield underwater and other units can't!"

I would've just disabled all cloakfields and shields underwater. Want your comm or your aegis on the surface? Use a surfboat.

It's the wrecks that are the problem! Why can't anyone see that?

Clams can simply hide behind all the wrecks they are rezzing. Since (most) underwater weapons are torpedos, they can't hit the clams, and they can move forward behind a slowly-creeping pile of wrecks.

When Necro had the rez ability, it was never a problem, because most land units can shoot over wrecks. That is why rez as an underwater ability has always been much more powerful.

Hrum. Do torpedoes even collide with features? I don't think I've run into this problem.

Godde and Pxtl are totally right though. I thought maybe the increased energy cost had at least made clams less viable, owled them a little, but on a map with 3 geos? Well...

It's hard to get up, and quite easy to lose your clams 1 by 1, but once you get the ball rolling you just can't attack the clamball, especially under a shield.

imo rez should cost a fraction of the units metal. like 50% of the difference between unit cost and metal in the wreck.

shield in water is indeed great, can even put gunships under the bubble.
if is lame/op maybe allow torpedos to go through shields? fluff reason could be "it moves so slow shield does not register it"
