Anyone know a good way of defending against someone rushing bomb drones and crippling you quickly without spending loads of effort and resources making a lot of turrets to kill them.

Make whatever AA your lab has. You probably want to build some defenders, but SPREAD THEM OUT.

Blastwings rarely make cost. They are almost always more expensive than what they kill. The only way they make cost is when you leave all your units and econ clumped up too tightly.

Defenders are the best for a bomb drone rush, build a few at once if you can because your opponent will try to prevent them being produced.
