8 auto repair units is too much. You can heal a recon commander back to full health in 25 seconds. The module limit needs to be lower like 2 or 3. Being able to heal 200 damage a second is nuts that is faster than most units can even hurt you.

I was there for that battle. Level 4 comm, singlehandedly, with no support whatsoever, walked through two lines of units and smashed two bases.

It can tank a HLT with that level of regen. Forever.

Yeah of course and that's the point of buying so many repair kits for the com. The point is to make a good unit that few unit can kill. To kill a com do you use 1 unit or many units? Many units can surely do more than 200 dps.
Otherwise what would be the point of spending so much points in repair kits? To get a unit that can be killed by a large number of single units?
Seriously I wasted almost all my points on a repair kit thinking I could get 8 in future. I want my points back!

Stuuupid. Sure it repairs fast but you can always get some burst damage once they have that many modules on a commander. Maybe 20hp/s is too fast for a single kit. KR didn't think so, he thought it sucked so gave it low cost and now he has gone and made silly massive balance changes the other way.

I'll revert this by next stable hopefully. More cost and a little less repair rate if it is a problem.

I don't want any super stacking modules that are bad when you have one and uberleet when you have six or eight. This thread suggests combat autorepair is a textbook example of such a module -> bad bad bad.

Still, I'm open to ideas.

I agree jasper that it's hard to kill a com with 8 repair kits. However limiting it to 3 is way too few IMO. Why not limit it to 4 or 5 instead of 3? After all the cost will be increased. I think 5 is fair enough.

I would rather leave repair rate at 25 + combat repair and have 3. Then have 5 and have 20 repair and no combat repair.

Actually, come to think of it, you just need more burst damage units around. If each fac has an anti-heavy burst damage unit, getting a few of those means the lone 8 repair com will die.

You shouldn't need to change to hovers (for penetrator), gunships (for gnat) or jumpjet (for skuttle) just because someone in the game has a high regen comm.
Light veh in particular die horribly to high regen comms.

Anyway snipers are the closest you we have right now. They are good anti comm

so you have vs level 4 commander

its this thing called disinagrater gun and fatalis was teh one lichoing not me lichos work too again its not hard to defeat u just dont know how to kill anything with more then 200 hp

I reverted KR's silly changes, they now have 300, normal 25/s and limit of 8. Maybe 300 is too much cost although maybe other modules are too cheap. In the next stable they will have 20/s as was origionally intended and lower cost, probably 225.
