I played with max graphics without lag
but i cant see shadows and extra shaders in game
then i looked for infolog.txt in game file folder and find a point that your
hardware does support shadow rendering

and intel hd 3000
intel i5 3.0
4 gb ram

PLEASE TELL A FIX

Your hardware does not support shadow rendering. The best fix is to stop caring about shadows because they don't add much (I play without them). The only other fix is get new hardware AFAIK.

Intel HD 3000 is an integrated graphics processor, and is unlikely to run a lot of advanced shaders. You're running on a notebook by the look of it? Don't expect max graphics and full shaders on a notebook.

Intel HD 3000 supports openGL 3 and 4.1 properly. So can it support advanced shades?
Proof: https://communities.intel.com/thread/42697

I recommend kpatti3 to update his/her drivers from
https://downloadcenter.intel.com/

good luck, and if updating doesn't work, then Saktoth is correct.

Anyways. I put my graphics setting on minimal. This is an RTS game, not a FPS. You don't need much detail. RTS is more about brain power while FPS are more about detail in seeing enemies from afar.

On max graphics my computer can barely sustain 60fps for over 20 minutes.

There's not just whether it supports the entirety of OpenGL3 and OpenGL4; there's also the question of which exact extensions are supported, and of how draconian is Spring GPU feature detection against Intel.

(The answer to latter is "very")

Yeah, there are a lot of variables to take into consideration ... (Im still sticking to my updating advice).

Because I am not an expert at spring source code, I CANNOT provide a full solution. So, I just took a general guess at that I would do in kpatti's shoes.

Update your hardware.

OR

Play without shadows.

Hard to be more explicit than this?

After the most recent nerf i wouldnt consider it much of a loss.

Blobshadow widget!
The blob-shadows widget in zK is only for aircraft?
https://github.com/ZeroK-RTS/Zero-K/blob/master/LuaUI/Widgets/unit_blobshadow.lua

Maybe add some other blob-shadows widget that also draws shadows for ground units.
for ex: http://code.google.com/p/xta-springrts/source/browse/trunk/luaui/widgets/gfx_dynamic_blob_shadow.lua no idea if that is 'official' or 'best' version or whatnot.
Imo even the simple oval shadows add much to apperance and make units easier to see, too.

Yeah, modifying Blob Shadow to support widget options in the options-menu is on my to-do-list so players can toggle off its "flyer only" behavior. Having ZK switch to Blob Shadows for "low" mode would be a good idea too.
