Casted on YouTube.

AUrankSnuggleBass's experiments with Spider monospam. I hope they learned something.

Repeat Queue
I have all factories default to repeat queue, even when I don't want to repeat. It allows me to both normal build and repeat build with standard hotkeys, while a standard setup would only allow me to normal build. There is an issue for me when I switch my fac between the two, in that alt+click will cancel the current queue if it's not on repeat, while it's a standard command for repeat queue. This means I frequently cancel krows etc. when not using repeat build.

Venom and Fleas
I was experimenting this game, though also playing pretty poorly. Often when I play I'm trying to ground my theoretical understanding with experience. In this case, in my mind fleas and venoms are some of the most powerful units and I want to figure out how to best use them. You could see me doing fairly well with the fleas at the start, but once it hits mid game on a small map, it becomes very difficult to manage them with so many defenders about. The venoms also did their job for the first few minutes, but you're not allowed to lose any, and my not being able to see that lotus, combined with poor decision-making, screwed me. Venoms can pretty much take any standard ground engagement for cost. They're like a perma-tick with range for 80 metal more. All you need to do to finish a fight is ensure nothing else interferes (which in theory should be very doable with good micro), but you can free up the venoms from lockdown by building a lotus, or microing in a flea.

Hermit Spam
At the point where I was queuing hermits on repeat, it was sort of desperation. Hermits weren't part of my plan or anything I wanted to test, but they would take time to die vs. moderators/firewalkers, and had a decent chance of breaking out if better managed. I don't like redbacks at all and try to play as if they're not on the unit line-up, because they're just too expensive and counterable for what they do.

I wasn't playing well, I was feeling a bit crummy, and EErank[ISP]Lauri doesn't let sloppy play like this past him. Spiders do have a nice time against JJ when players are performing at the same level.

Okay, that makes sense. I did mention in the commentary I was assuming you were experimenting with how far Venoms can go, but the main issue isn't so much micro as time, since eventually the opponent just gets enough units to overwhelm and free the stunned units, unless you kill the stunned units.

Yeah the time issue is real, but that's sort of an interesting resource in itself. Further venoms buy you that time, and flea give you the information you need to utilise it properly. If I'd been playing better I'd be trying to plop lotus every time I've got a stunlock, but I didn't even have the spare workers.
