needs a buff! add a impulse to the impact, so it additionally pushes (not: damage) units around which take damage then by normal hitbox-ground hitting. this would be awsome and maybe make it used some more often.

I think the only buff Quake needs is a proper description. But some (minor) impulse sounds nice too, just for the looks.

The AoE range is far too low to make the Quake worthwhile. I've tried using it to terraform a quick path on a cliff to flank the enemy, it turned into some sort of tilted plateu with impassable edges instead.

Impassable edges = super-sharp mini-edges that only spiderbots can really walk over.

You do not build Missile Silo to kill moble unit, you build it to kill porc, so not sure if it will be any good, but yeah, i agree, give Quake impulse, may be fun.
