As there hasn't been any News post yet, I just wanted to inform you about the latest change to chat logging. All PMs, battleroom chat and channel chat is now being logged and accessible to admins. ChangelogFeel free to delete this thread once the News post is up.

You can use https://niltalk.com if you want to exchange sensitive information. Just PM the room link to the person, in the unlikely event that someone else joins, you'll see them in the list and they won't get any messages sent before they joined.

Can a small line saying: "Notice: Private messages are recorded for moderation purposes" be shown when you open a PM chat?

Having seen how devs and mapfeaturers handle security stuff or sensitive data like IP-adresses or mapfeaturing, I doubt they have the self-control to not randomly read private chatlogs for their own amusement.

To clarify: offline PMs (i.e. ones sent to offline people) are being gathered since a year ago. The ability to read them appeared 2015-10-31 but then you could read them retroactively since the start of gathering.

Since it was never announced: PMs no longer kept since ~2 weeks or so.

Unless they are offline PMs waiting to be forwarded. So if anybody plans to blow up something big, only PM online people when discussing this.
