Forgot to make a post about it, but I'm going to try to start streaming ZK games. Hopefully I'll be able to update this page when I get a set time per week to cast.

Currently I only cast on Twitch: https://www.twitch.tv/parzivalxv

Check me out, subscribe, whatever.

Will there be a facecam?

Will the chat be as toxic as the Aral Sea?

Will there be random screams of excitment and/or fear?

Will there be donation whoring?

If not then that's no proper stream kappa.

- Hell no

- No

- Ill probably put a donation link somewhere just to raise money for a better mic

Oh yeah CArankAdminShadowfury333 what mic would you reccomend?

Not CArankAdminShadowfury333, but the V-MODA BoomPro is a highly-regarded mic for a good price.

RUrankParzival: what's your budget?

I would recommend this one. It has a much better quality than your average microphone while also being relatively cheap (80$ or so). From what I know (it might have changed) CArankAdminShadowfury333 uses one and I also used this in my more recent videos. Though that doesn't really vow for its quality really since my voice is really shitty.

If you have slightly higher budget go for Blue Yeti, which is also relatively cheap and has slightly higer sound quality than Snowball.

Beware a lot of mics that have better quality than these ones are pretty much reserved for profesionals that make a living out of using them. They are around 300$-6000$ price range but the quality change is not as significant as from the ones that I already proposed. They are just the best bank for your buck, when it comes to semi-pro microphones.

If you are not willing to spend 80$ for a microphone then from what research I've done about 1,5 year ago it seemed that it would just be better to stick to your current one. Besides 80$ is really not that much anyway.

Snowball mics are like 60 bucks now, will probably pick one up.

I used a Snowball. Now I use a Studio Projects C1 with a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 interface. That's another thing about XLR mics (i.e. any mic that's even remotely professional quality), they don't plug directly into your computer, but instead plug into an audio interface which in turn plugs into your computer.

For someone starting out, I'd go with a Yeti. Snowballs are kinda bare minimum, but they are a bit more unwieldy to set up (you want the mic only a few inches from your face) than a Yeti, and have a somewhat worse bass response.

Also, here are some tips for mic setup and voice preparation.
