These are solely my thoughts and opinions, they are not fact.

Discuss why people might do locked games

I think it's mostly people playing with their friends, it's not as much "toxic community" (as far as game communities go ours is pretty good) as
simply being uninterested in being part of the bigger community,
or wanting to play in a sandbox without pressure to win,
or being shy,
or not feeling good enough to play with the "pros",
or not speaking English too well so they feel out of place,
or even not realizing there's a coherent community and thinking that lobster pot host is just another tightly-knit group of friends so better leave them be.

The private games are a bit of an enigma in that they're poorly understood even though they're a sizable chunk of zk. I don't think there's a coherent idea how to appeal to, attract and retain them. Gaining a better understanding would be good.

That actually is not that far from reality I think.

Oh, we might need to advertise lobster pot as not a close group of friends

Why does it matter if some players play with themself and not with you?

Cause knorke doesn't know shit about community

I'd be careful at calling everyone new knorke. It does not matter that much really. I don't mind that some people prefer having fun in privacy.

There's an astonishing amount of new players coming from a very restricted geographical region. Some of our players must be very active in recruiting their friends.

When there's a locked game, try to PM some of the players. Sometimes (~10% of groups) you'll get lucky and they're up for some company. Otherwise let them have their fun.

Generally I'd advise against soliciting. If they want to join multiplayer, they will.
